From her first day of school, Deb knew that she wanted to grow up and be a teacher—a dream that was later influenced and nurtured by her mother who was her junior high physical education teacher and basketball/softball coach.  

Deb’s leadership ability and gift for teaching showed up at an early age.  Her parents recognized this as they watched her organize the neighborhood kids, march them up and down the street, lead them in calisthenics, and invent games to entertain them all for hours.

Driven to make a difference in the lives of others, she proudly entered the teaching profession in 1978 when she took her first job in a small mining town in eastern New Mexico. Her classroom experience of over ten years includes an array of subjects and grades from high school health to elementary physical education.  

Her drive to provide innovative programs led her out of the classroom and into her own business through which she inspires teachers across the country.  Deb brings a fresh voice based in real classroom experience that encourages and empowers educators, administrators, and volunteers who work with today’s youth.
